Not Ignorant, but Grounded

Do you know why you believe what you believe? That is an important question. Jesus does not want His people to have a blind faith. He wants us to understand what we believe and why we believe it. When we read God’s Word, we learn the truth of the gospel. The Bible shows us the reason for our faith.

The Bereans were called wise because they searched the Scriptures to make sure what they heard was true. They did not just accept things without checking. As believers, we are called to be wise like them. We should study God’s Word and know it for ourselves.

Take time to ask: Can I clearly explain why I believe the gospel? Do I search the Bible for truth, or do I accept things without testing them? Have I ignored God’s Word and settled for only a small understanding?
