The Heart of the Father

Have you ever thought God was only angry because you never really took time to know Him? Many people see God as full of wrath, but that often comes from not having a close relationship with Him. When we truly seek Him and spend time knowing Him, we begin to see His loving, kind, and merciful heart. God is a caring Father who gives people chances to turn back to Him. Wrath is never His first choice. It is only a last resort after much patience and mercy (Deu. 30:19).

Take time to ask yourself these questions: Have I truly tried to know God personally, or have I only made opinions about Him from far away? Do I see God more through fear than through His love and mercy? Have I ignored His patience until correction became necessary in my life?
