Ritual Without Surrender

Have you traded true surrender for just going through the motions?

Sometimes we turn our relationship with God into a routine. We follow certain styles, habits, or church customs and think that is enough. But God makes it clear that these things alone do not touch His heart. He does not want empty actions. He wants us.

At times, we may think we can give an offering or do something good to avoid taking responsibility for our wrong choices. But we are only fooling ourselves. We cannot buy peace with God. What He really wants is simple. He asks us to turn away from sin, give up our selfish desires, and fully submit to Him.

Ask yourself: Am I depending on religious habits instead of truly obeying God? Have I tried to cover my sin instead of repenting? What desire am I refusing to give up so I can fully surrender to Him?
