**Today’s Scripture:** 1 Peter 5:8 – “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may devour.”
In this season of great intensity, we can all admit that, in some way, shape, or form, we’re being attacked. We feel the pressure of persecution in the spiritual realm against our minds, bodies, and emotions. Many of us have been experiencing panic attacks out of nowhere, struggling to pinpoint the source of our anxiety.
This is an indication of the increased warfare that Satan is launching against the people of God. Why is he doing this? Because he knows that his time is short. While we are uncertain of how short that is, the enemy feels urgency and aims to lead many in the body of Christ into offense, causing them to stray from their destinies and callings.
Often, the source of many attacks comes from people — those we expect could provide support and encouragement. It’s becoming increasingly challenging to walk in love, patience, and peace when provoked. However, we must stay vigilant.
Reflect on Moses, anointed by God to deliver the Israelites from bondage to the Promised Land. He faced constant complaints and challenges from the people, leading to his own frustration. In a moment of anger, he struck the rock instead of speaking to it, failing to honor God’s command. Sadly, this disobedience resulted in his inability to enter the Promised Land.
Like Moses, we need to be cautious. As we navigate through attacks, let’s remain spiritually sober and vigilant. We must put on the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-20) to extinguish the fiery darts of the enemy.
**Reflection Questions:**
1️⃣ How can you prepare spiritually to face the intensity of the battles against you?
2️⃣ What specific steps can you take to rely on God’s Word when facing adversity?
3️⃣ In what areas of your life do you need to apply the armor of God for protection against the enemy?
**Let us pray:**
Lord Jesus, we thank You for this word. Help us recognize that the intensity we are facing comes from the enemy seeking to shake our faith and calling. Help us surrender our offenses to You, prepare for the battles ahead, and turn our eyes toward Your Kingdom. May we remain diligent in Your Word, as it is the only thing that endures forever. We love You, thank You, and praise You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
God bless, brothers and sisters! Until next time! ????✨
