The Attributes of God
You, Lord God, are the faithful God. You keep Your covenant and Your lovingkindness to a thousand generations of those who love You and keep Your commands. (Deuteronomy 7:9). I call this to mind, and therefore I have hope: Your mercies, O Lord, never cease, for Your compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:21–23)

The Works of God
O Son of Man, You are going to come in the glory of Your Father with Your angels, and then You will reward people according to their works. (Matthew 16:27) As the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so will be Your coming, O Son of Man. Your sign will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn, and they will see You coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:27, 30)
Take a moment to consider the greatness of God’s wonderful works.
My Relationship to God
O Lord, You are my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? You are the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1) When I am afraid, I will trust in You. When I am afraid, I will trust in You whose word I praise. In You I have put my trust. I will not fear; what can mortals do to me? (Psalm 56:3–4)
Pause to thank God for the relationship that you enjoy with Him in Jesus Christ.
The Character I Want to Cultivate
Those who listen to a life-giving rebuke will be at home among the wise. Those who refuse instruction despise themselves, but those who heed correction gain understanding. (Proverbs 15:31–32) A rebuke goes deeper into one who is wise than a hundred lashes into a fool. (Proverbs 17:10)
Take a moment to ask the Lord for the grace to grow in godly character.
My Relationship to Others
O God, You are the One who gives endurance and encouragement; grant that we be of the same mind toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord and one mouth we may glorify You, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5–6) Lord, we know that there should be no division in the body, but its members should have concern for each other. If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now we are Your body, O Christ, and each one of us is a member of it. (1 Corinthians 12:25–27)
