The Attributes of God
O God, You are exalted beyond our understanding; the number of Your years is unsearchable. (Job 36:26)
You are He; You are the first, and You are also the last.
(Isaiah 48:12)

The Works of God
The earth is Yours, O Lord, and everything in it,
the world and all who dwell in it.
For You founded it upon the seas and established it
upon the waters. (Psalm 24:1–2)
O Lord, You cover Yourself in light as with a garment;
You stretch out the heavens like a tent curtain
and lay the beams of Your upper chambers in the
waters.
You make the clouds Your chariot and walk on the
wings of the wind.
You make the winds Your messengers,
flames of fire Your servants.
You set the earth on its foundations so that it can never
be moved.
You covered it with the deep as with a garment;
The waters stood above the mountains.
At Your rebuke the waters fled;
At the sound of Your thunder they hurried away.
They flowed over the mountains and went down into
the valleys, to the place You assigned for them.
You set a boundary they cannot cross,
that they will not return to cover the earth.
O Lord, how manifold are Your works!
In wisdom You made them all;
The earth is full of Your possessions.
(Psalm 104:2–9, 24)
Take a moment to consider the greatness of God’s wonderful works.
My Relationship to God
I will give thanks to You, O Lord, and call upon Your name and make known to others what You have done. I will sing to You, sing praises to You, and tell of all Your wonderful acts. (1 Chronicles 16:8–9)
I trust in Your loyal love;
My heart rejoices in Your salvation.
I will sing to You, O Lord, for You have dealt
bountifully with me. (Psalm 13:5–6)
Pause to thank God for the relationship that you enjoy with Him in Jesus Christ.
The Character I Want to Cultivate
In a multitude of words, transgression does not cease, but those who restrain their lips are wise.
(Proverbs 10: 19)
Fools have no delight in understanding. But only in airing their own opinions.
(Proverbs 18:2)
Take a moment to ask the Lord for the grace to grow in godly character.
My Relationship to Others
Love is as strong as death; its jealousy is as cruel as the grave; its flames are a blazing fire from You, O Lord. Many waters cannot quench love, nor can rivers overflow it. If a man were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned. (Song of Songs 8:6–7)
A husband should not break his promises to the wife of his youth, because she is a companion and a wife by covenant. Lord God of hosts, You seek a godly offspring and hate divorce; therefore we must take heed to our spirit and not break faith. (Malachi 2:14–16)
