The Works of God
I will remember Your works, O Lord;
Surely I will remember Your wonders of long ago.
I will meditate on all Your works
and consider all Your mighty deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy.
What god is so great as You?
You are the God who works wonders;
You have revealed Your strength among the peoples.
You redeemed Your people with Your power, the
descendants of Jacob and Joseph. (Psalm 77:11–15)
As the earth brings forth its sprouts and as a garden causes that which is sown to spring up, So You, Lord God, will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations. (Isaiah 61:11)
Take a moment to consider the greatness of God’s wonderful works.
My Relationship To God
We praise You, O Lord;
Day by day You bear our burdens,
O God of our salvation.
You, our God, are the God of salvation,
and to You, God the Lord, belongs escape from death.
(Psalm 68:19–20)
Lord Jesus, all those the Father gives You will come to You, and whoever comes to You, You will never cast out. For You have come down from heaven, not to do Your own will, but the will of Him who sent You. And this is the will of Him who sent You, that You will lose none of all those He has given You, but raise them up at the last day. For Your Father’s will is that those who look to You and believe in You may have eternal life, and You will raise them up at the last day. (John 6:37–40)
Pause to thank God for the relationship that you enjoy with Him in Jesus Christ.
The Character I Want to Cultivate
What is desirable in a person is kindness, and it is better to be poor than to be a liar. (Proverbs 19:22)
As one of Your chosen people, O God, holy and beloved, I will put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, bearing with others and forgiving others even as You, Lord, forgave me; and above all these things I will put on love, which is the bond of perfection. (Colossians 3:12–14)
Take a moment to ask the Lord for the grace to grow in godly character.
My Relationship To Others
I will love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me. (Matthew 5:44)
I will love my enemies, do good to those who hate me, bless those who curse me, and pray for those who mistreat me. I will do to others as I would have them do to me. (Luke 6:27–28, 31)Pause to review your relationships with others and to commit them to the Lord.
