But You chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and You chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong; the lowly things of this world and the despised things You have chosen, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before You. (1 Corinthians 1:25, 27–29)
Lord, thank you for the invitation you extended to me when You said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If you hear My voice and open the door, I will come in to you and dine with you, and you with Me. To you who overcome, I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” (Revelation 3:20–21)
